Humanity during the Chaos Crisis.
Now if anyone knows me on here, you know I like using video game references, and I do like my references. But I'm not here to give you a long list of references, I'm here to chew bubblegum and talk, and I just swallowed the last of my bubblegum.
So, Humanity during the Chaos Crisis is a bit of a blur, but seeing as all of Humanity is a blur at this point I think it'd make sense. I feel that Humanity doesn't learn of the events of the Sunt and the whole Chaos Crisis at first, or at all, but learn of it through the Eteno who have suddenly lost colonies. Shortly afterwards, human colonies begin to disappear and a select few of Humans decide that a new ruling must be made.
Robert Sterling is asked to come from his home on Gaea to help them, as well as Thomas Reardon, and any others people can think of after word of the Chaos Crisis happen. Sterling, using his negoitation skills, gets the army prepared, Thomas Reardon opens up "Atlas Aeronautics and Armorers", and stops colonial building so all his steel goes to the Eteno and the newly created Human United Front, by building armors, ships, mechs, etc. Sterling, using what he learned about the collapse of Selene's Promise helps major human figures create a highly-trained Human Army, and almost in no time, the Humans have created a navy to fight against any threat.
Of course, over the course of this war, the navy is nearly destroyed, the human colonies are further stretched apart and soon an empire called the Humanity Expanse is created from a few close-knit colonies. Thomas Reardon continues his deals, but as Humanity's Defense Minister, Sterling is the Human Economics Minister, and Humanity raises from the ashes as a minor power, but with enough grit and bone to start over under a new name and a new flag.
