Normally, the bi-annual cleaning would be happening very soon, but currently, archived articles make up 22% of the content on this wiki. It would be a shame if so many well-written articles just went to waste, wouldn't it? Now may be a good time to re-examine what it means to archive an article, and to what extent we can modify them.
Just for example, Hora's articles on the Large Magellanic Cloud along with the articles relating to the Triangulum Galaxy make up a large majority of the archived content. Reusing them again might provide fresh new ideas for future stories and other content. However, before making this rule change official, I would like to get some feedback first.
- Redefine archived articles as those in temporary storage until judgement is passed on them. A sort of article purgatory.
- With permission from the original author (or prolonged lack of response), we adopt some of the higher quality archived articles back into the continuity. Either they become actual events in the Omni 01 universe or they could be retconned as in-universe media like we did with Myth Galaxy.
- The 30 day rule would only come into effect for new users. Users who have been editing for several months or more would not necessarily have their articles archived after 30 days if they happen to go inactive.
