The Tucana Dwarf Galaxy is an isolated galaxy that contains very old stars. It has a rather low metalicity, and only one habitable planet is known to exist found in the MWG-TD sector. It is about 900 kiloparsecs (2,900 kly) away, on the opposite side of the Milky Way.
While the galaxy can be reached with conventional FTL travel, it is not practical due to the amount of dark space in between. A ship would have to go years without venting the drive core. As a result, the most practical means of reaching it is through the Greenwater Stone Ring.
